Paviors Destroy Southwell in One-Sided Colts Plate Final

On Sunday the 15th of May, Southwell were destroyed by Paviors in a 40-point gap. 52 to 12 in Paviors’ favour. This game was riddled with impressive line speed, tries, penalties, and kicks.

The game started with immediate intensity with Southwell scoring a try and then converting it, sending them into a 7 – 0 lead. But then, due to a Southwell high tackle, Paviors were awarded a penalty try, which means they do not have to kick for conversion, giving them the full 7 points. Midway through the first half with the score was 14 – 7 in Paviors’ favour, Paviors scored another try but missed a conversion – making the score 19 – 7. There were multiple knock-ons by Southwell and to finish the first half Paviors score without a conversion, leaving the score at half time. At 24 – 7 to Paviors.

The second half kicked off with a knock on by Paviors, then a penalty to Southwell. Southwell came close to scoring a try but failed. Paviors make a try and conversion and then another try and conversion. Then they made a high tackle and scored another try and conversion. Leaving the school at this moment as 45-7 in Paviors’ favour. Southwell then score a try but missed the conversion. Southwell then start to argue with the ref giving a penalty to Paviors. The score at full time at 52 to 12 Pavior WIN.

Overall Paviors had the lead and remained in front throughout and this was mainly due to their impressive line speed. It ended up being a very one-sided game giving Paviors the Colts Plate trophy, with Southwell coming in second.
